Joey Carlson

Joey Carlson has practiced law in Utah for over 12 years across business, employment, and family law. He planted his flag in family law because he's done it as the client.

Having been through his own divorce, Joey rebuilt from it. He built Carlson Legal Group entirely around what he learned on the wrong side of the table: people in crisis need clear answers, a reachable attorney, and a strategy grounded in reality.

Before founding Carlson Legal Group, Joey held a range of legal and business leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer at RCG Law Group, CEO of Ranes, and owner of Victus Solutions Group, a consulting and legal services firm. That blend of legal and operational experience shapes how he built his own practice from the ground up.

Joey earned his Juris Doctor from Arizona Summit Law School, where he was a member of the J. Reuben Clark Society, the Federalist Society, and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. He holds a BA in Political Science and History from Southern Utah University, where he made the Dean's List every semester he attended. He is licensed to practice in Arizona and Wyoming, among other jurisdictions.

A father of four and a third-generation native of Price, Carbon County, Joey starts from the understanding that your family's future extends far beyond the courtroom doors.
